Welcome to Saint-Quentin de Caplong!

The Mayor's Editorial

Greetings to you all,

Yet again, we have been reminded of the horrors of recent terrorist attacks. Like bad weather there seems to be no control. Let us hope that over and above the political and economic stakes, a worldwide understanding and wish to end this barbarity will prevail..

The publication of this newsletter comes after the Presidential and Legislative elections. Congratulations to the citizens of St Quentin who expressed a higher turnout than the National average. The right to vote democratically is a value and right which must be taken responsibly and seriously.

However, we cannot control all aspects of life, as the weather has shown us with the frosts of early May 2017 and high temperatures recently. Let us hope that the deficit in quantity will be compensated by an increase in prices.

At a communal level, despite the budgetary constraints, the council pursues their objectives. The realization of the communes housing estate (5 plots) is completed. The plan of accessibility, which is compulsory for all public receiving establishments, is complete in respect that the Mairie, the library are now 'au norm'.

The Council would like to make everyone aware that the communes internet site is now up and running : www.st-quentin-de-caplong.fr as well as a new FaceBook page! We would like to emphasize the importance of these informational tools for real time information. Should you have any problems in accessing this media please do no hesitate in contacting the Mairie for help. Computer workshops are on offer.

This paper bulletin will continue to be produced and delivered every January.

Have a great summer ,

United, let us continue together.

Jean-Pierre ROUBINEAU
Maire de St Quentin de Caplong
