The commune and hamlets of St Quentin


Commune of the department of the Gironde, in the Aquitaine-Limousin-Poitou-Charentes region, attached to the sub-prefecture of Libourne, Saint Quentin de Caplong is part of the canton of the Réolais and Bastides.

263 inhabitants reside in the commune of Saint Quentin de Caplong and its main hamlets (Le Bourg, Taillade, Cateau, Les Gourds, Marchand, La Tour Rouge, Les Saurins, Les Héritons, Les Mauberts, Liret ...), on an area of ​​1126 Hectares. They are called Saint Quentin and Saint Quentin.

 

Saint Quentin de Caplong retains traces of Gallo-Roman installations, a vast "cella" dug in the mollasse having been discovered near the ruins of the castle and the mill located on the edge of the Soulège. Monolithic sarcophagi were also discovered. An old noble house "Langalerie" is established in the village.
